Application Process

Applying for a job at Williams & Glyn

At Williams & Glyn we make great efforts to find and hire the best people. Our selection process is designed to ensure your skills and experiences are the best match for the role for which you're applying. Our process is thorough, transparent and fair to all.

The process may vary depending on the role for which you have applied. It will typically include the following stages:

1. Learning about the roles available.
Take a moment to browse all the current vacancies. You can search by keyword, location, or job type, to help you identify a role that's best suited to your skills and experience.
2. Submitting an online application.
When you find a role of interest, click on the ‘Apply for this job’ button. The application form will then load and at the start you'll be asked to enter your personal information including your email address. This is the email address that you can use later in the candidate log-in area to track the status of your application. Please complete all the required fields in the form before you submit it.
3. The selection stage.
Once we've reviewed your application and agreed you're a suitable candidate, we'll let you know we're moving your application into the next stage. At this stage, do feel free to ask any questions about the role, our organisation or the selection process. You may be required to attend multiple interviews, including technical, HR or competency tests; or complete an online work-style assessment. Our Recruitment team will explain exactly what the interview and assessment process will be.
4. Receiving a Conditional Offer.
If you're successful in the selection process, we'll make you an offer and give you a provisional start date. This is an important part of the process and your recruiter will keep in touch with you throughout, answering any questions. He or she will also support you with any of the steps involved in confirming your offer.
5. Pre-Employment Screening.
This is the process by which we carry-out personal and educational checks on all candidates. Your offer of employment is conditional on clearing this process.
6. On-boarding.
Once you've joined us you'll receive a full induction to the organisation and an on-boarding partner will be assigned to you to help you settle in.
