Creating and promoting a new banking brand

Are you a marketing professional looking for an exciting opportunity?

Our business is embarking on a significant period of change with the creation of Williams & Glyn, a new challenger bank for retail and corporate customers.

This is a unique chance to communicate with our customers and understand what they want from their bank. Being part of such a high profile project will be tremendously exciting, and we're looking for marketing experts to join us in a number of roles, and be part of this unique and exciting journey.

We've already made great strides, and in 2017 all RBS branches in England and Wales will become Williams & Glyn. But beyond this, we’re keen to play a positive and active role in local communities. We’re already talking to our customers to establish the kind of bank Williams & Glyn should be, adding a modern twist by delivering a forward-thinking and innovative approach to our services. The marketing function creates all external consumer communications and delivers Williams & Glyn's unique banking proposition across all channels, products and services.

Brand Communications

Taking responsibility for delivering the Williams & Glyn brand messages, as well as all creative advertising, this team acts as the brand guardian for the wider business and ensures a consistent look and feel is produced in all customer and colleague communications.

Campaign Communications

This team creates multi-channel marketing campaigns, based on consumer insights, to meet the business needs of Williams & Glyn retail, corporate and business customers.

Digital Communications

Developing and creating all digital media content for branded and campaign activity, this team ensures our digital content is part of a modern, progressive brand.

This function develops, champions and delivers new digital, mobile and ATM communications to produce a step-change in service and sales across all product lines.

Digital Sales

Responsible for delivering transformational growth in sales and financial results in the digital channel, this team generates and converts leads from other channels, to create a truly multi-channel proposition, and drive increased revenue and improved customer satisfaction.

Digital Service

Shaping and leading a comprehensive digital media strategy, this team increases traffic, grows revenue and drives brand advocacy. It is also responsible for the management and development of online and mobile banking.

Digital Live Service and Change

Owning the integrity of all services across the digital estate, this team ensures they remain available, trouble-free and easy to use, across personal and corporate e-Banking, websites and mobile banking applications.

Digital Design and Development

This team designs and develops of the bank's public website.

Product Management

We have three product teams, each focussed on a specific set of products and their delivery across all customer segments (personal, business and corporate):


This team manages all deposit products, as well as our investment and protection advice proposition.


Managing all lending products, this team also oversees our general insurance proposition.

Transaction banking

As well as managing current accounts, this team looks after debit and credit cards, cash and cheques, domestic and international payments, foreign exchange and trade.

The product teams manage the full scope of their products, from overall strategy through product development, to trading and marketing activity. They are also responsible for the full customer journey for the product, from application onwards. Roles in the product teams offer the opportunity to work at the core of our business and help in setting our direction as a challenger bank.
